Looe’s museum is housed in the towns 15th century Guildhall and gaol and still includes the judge’s bench and former cells. There’s an amazing variety of exhibits on display, including a 2000 year old tin ingot, relics of the towns pilchard trade with Italy, the remains of a US bomber from World War II and much more.

If you have family links to the area, search through the family history documents or ask advice from the knowledgeable staff.
